Buffalo Homes for Sale

Community Overview

Buffalo is the second largest city in New York State, after New York City. It is the economic hub of the Buffalo-Niagara metro region and largest municipality in Erie County. Originally formed in 1789, Buffalo’s population boomed after the completion of the Erie Canal in 1825 that connected Buffalo with New York City’s ocean ports; this launched Buffalo’s manufacturing era. Through the decades, this historic city has seen major re-urbanization efforts, many of which have been designed for people relocating to Buffalo.  This has reinvigorated the Buffalo real estate market.  These activities have helped to contribute to Forbes’ Magazine’s designation of Buffalo as one of the top 100 rated communities in which to live nationwide, placing above such cities as Cleveland, Detroit, and even New York City.
