The two have formed Stovroff & Taylor Realtors, bringing the long-held Stovroff name back to local Real Estate circles.

Stovroff & Taylor will be a separate company from Stovroff & Taylor Travel Ltd., a Travel Agency they formed in 1988 just after leaving the former Stovroff & Herman Real Estate -- now called RealtyUSA.

"I missed Real Estate," Stovroff said. "It was a passion with me. In the back of my mind, I always knew I'd get back into Real Estate."

Stovroff stressed she and Taylor will be devoting as much time to their travel business as their newly formed real estate arm. Stovroff said the Real Estate agency will be located in the same Wehrle Drive building as the Travel Agency.

Stovroff said she is confident they can juggle the work load between the two businesses.

"I'll just get up an hour earlier," she said. 'We're still in the travel business in every way."

Stovroff & Taylor has hired 12 agents. It has already handled the listing and sale of homes in Cheektowaga and Kenmore and has a current listing on Homer Avenue in Buffalo.

The new agency will focus strictly on residential deals in the immediate Buffalo Niagara region.

Stovroff & Taylor Realtors is something that was always on the mind of the founders. They sold off their interest in Stovroff & Herman in 1988 and immediately formed the Travel Agency. A non-compete clause prevented Stovroff from entering the local Real Estate business for a decade.

Stovroff & Taylor Travel, in the meantime, has grown into one of the region's top Travel Agencies with a Who's Who client list that was easily one of the most impressive in the Buffalo Niagara area. The agency reported 2003 revenues of $13.7 million and has 23 employees.

Stovroff said she expects to use her travel connections to help the Real Estate arm, especially when dealing with relocation clients.

"This can be a one-stop shop where we fly them in, put up in a hotel and find them the right house," she said.
